ABOUT THE MSSA
The Manchester Student Society of Architecture – mssa – is the official student group representing every student at the Manchester School of Architecture. It is run by students and works closely alongside tutors and lecturers across msa, MMU and UoM. Its principle aim is to improve the general well-being of students through both academic and social activities. This ranges from regular social events, to have fun, get to know people and to let your hair down, to pushing for even greater facilities. The mssa is self-funded with all profits being put back into improving student life. This is done through the social events but also other fund-raising sources, like the official msa hoodie. The mssa can also provide support for students and we are also here to talk to about any problems you might not want to talk to staff about.

GET INVOLVED
The mssa is your society and we are always looking for any help you can offer. If you are interested in helping out whether it be public speaking, finances or organisation of social events please let us know. The committee meets every week to discuss issues related to the msa. Whether you want to be an active member or simply want to come and give us your views, we are always open and here to listen. We also regularly meet with senior memmbers of staff.. The mssa is a great way to gain experience in a range of skills and we always need people to bring their knowledge and expertise to the committee. The mssa base is in the JDW Builing aka 'The Shed' in office 012, MMU. There is usually someone in the office at lunch time on studio days so feel free to pop in for a chat, as our door is always open. Failing that you can e-mail the mssa representatives direct. If you would like to come to the meetings, we meet every Tuesday 9am at the far end of the main studio, near the office.
